The Challenge

A startup wanted to build a next-generation social networking platform with live video streaming, real-time chat, and interactive video calling capabilities. The platform needed to handle thousands of concurrent connections with minimal latency.

The Solution

Joined a 40-member development team to build the social networking platform using React.js and TypeScript. Optimized real-time messaging performance using Socket.IO with custom event batching. Implemented high-quality video calling using WebRTC and Jitsi integration. Built real-time text-to-speech features for accessibility. Used Styled Components and Material UI for a polished, responsive interface.
