Questions
Frequently asked questions
- Do you take freelance work?
- Yes — I'm open to freelance and contract engagements alongside full-time opportunities, typically Next.js/NestJS builds or scaling an existing product.
- What's your stack?
- Next.js and React on the frontend, NestJS or Node.js on the backend, PostgreSQL as the primary database, with Redis, Docker, and AWS for caching, containers, and deployment. I also integrate OpenAI/Claude for AI-powered features when a project calls for it.
- What's your timezone and availability?
- I'm based in Lahore, Pakistan (UTC+5) and work comfortably across US and Middle East business hours for overlap-heavy collaboration.
- How many years of professional experience do you have?
- Six years, spanning frontend engineer, full-stack engineer, and now Senior Software Engineer / Team Lead roles across four companies — W-group, Ripeseed.io, Carswitch, and Frizhub.
- What kind of projects have you shipped?
- National-scale food ordering (Cheezious, thousands of simultaneous orders, 99.9% uptime), a regional car marketplace (Carswitch, UAE & KSA), AI lesson planning (LlamaEdu, 2,000+ MAU), healthcare workforce scheduling (CronShift), and an autonomous local-SEO marketing agent (Paige by Merchynt, 10,000+ SMBs).
- Do you work with AI/LLM integrations?
- Yes — I've integrated OpenAI, Anthropic's Claude, and Google's Gemini into production systems, including OrbitAgent (a multi-tool AI agent with human-in-the-loop approvals), Paige's autonomous marketing agent, and LlamaEdu's 50+ specialized lesson-planning assistants.
- Do you lead teams, or work solo?
- Both. I currently lead a small engineering team at Frizhub as a Senior Software Engineer (Team Lead), and previously contributed as an individual engineer on a 40-person team at W-group.
- What's your approach to database and API design?
- I design normalized PostgreSQL schemas with proper indexing and connection pooling for high-concurrency workloads, and build type-safe APIs (NestJS or FastAPI) with clear DTO validation, documented with Swagger, and cached through Redis where it measurably helps.
- Can you help with an existing codebase, not just new builds?
- Yes — a good amount of my work has been joining existing products (Carswitch, LegacySuite, several Ripeseed.io projects) to scale performance, fix architecture debt, or ship new features inside someone else's codebase.
- How do I get in touch?
- Email is fastest — see the contact section on the homepage, or reach out on LinkedIn. I typically reply within a business day.
